How does Women of the Bible and Beyond fit within a broader RE program?
By direct examination of Old and New Testament texts, this unit shows that God establishes, enshrines and emphasises the equal value of women and men. Moreover, as the fulfilment of the Old Testament, Jesus provides the appropriate starting point for exploring key examples and teaching on women in the Old Testament and, in the New Testament, his radically counter-cultural interactions with a whole variety of women affirm the beautiful truth of love, grace and salvation for all.
